Physical Description: Anya-Mari stands above average height at five foot seven. She has a slim, leanly muscular frame with slightly rounded hips and small waist, and a prominent backside. She has a ballerina's figure. Ahn's eyes are wide and almond shaped and demanding in their warm mahogany color. They sit under dark, softly curved brows and over a straight Nubian nose. She has a wide mouth that is often spread apart in a bright, thousand watt smile that often shows her white relatively straight teeth (relative because of the slight over bite. Ahn's delicate, pointed, almost elfin features are a creamy milk chocolate color and framed by a black mass of wavy hair.
Anya is always dressed meticulously. Often in neutral colored tank-tops, sleek black pants or tight dark-washed jeans, high heels or boots. She rarely ever wears sneakers in front of polite company. When going to a dinner she often wears dark, or metallic colored, clothing stylized from the 1940's. For other less formal occasions her dresses are usually short and airy, many times with flower patterns and are in bright, flattering coloring. Her clothing is always posh and that of a cultured young lady. There is a rumor that Anya-Mari owns a barely there green beaded skirt and killer strappy heels but she refuses to affirm or disprove it.
Distinguishing Marks: Scar right by her left ear, the skin is slightly puckered. She has a birth mark on her stomach, her inner right thigh, and the inside of her left lower arm. She has a She has a tattoo of a white turtle with a tree on her the lower right side of her back. She secretly got the tattoo when she was fifteen when she was out with Danni and Ace; her parents never discovered it. She has another tattoo, two actually, on right arm. It is a dragon holding onto a red planet. They represent her siblings and she got the tattoo in England her first year at Oxford. Her last tattoo is rather intricate and it takes up the entirety of her left arm. Anya-Mari had it done around the time the trouble started, a month before people began to be quarantined. It's rosary. Her family was never overly religious but her maternal grandmother was. The design stands for many things to her.
Sexual Orientation: Mostly heterosexual Single or taken: Single
Best friend: Danni and Ace
Personality: When thinking about Ahn it is difficult not to think of her in terms of what she can do for you. Not that she has the look of someone that can be easily taken advantage of. Quite the contrary, Ahn is the type of person that everyone needs at least one of in their life. The type of person who one knows will always be there. Steady, dependable, flexible, and open-minded, her lips are always curved into a slight amused smile and her delicate features are always alight with mischief.
Anya is a willow tree, firm against the wind and always providing shelter. For her parents she was absolutely perfect. Studious, hard-working, disciplined, and skilled at whatever they demand to be. She was their little ice princess, there was nothing that she could do wrong in her eyes. Mostly for the fact that Ahn didn't do things wrong.
For her younger siblings Anya was mother. Since their own mother was barely around the goal of nurturer and guardian fell to her. She was the one who corrected them firmly and tucked them into bed with kisses. If you ask the two of them, Anya-Mari is warmth, laughter, and rules.
For her friends Ahn was haven and honesty. Secrets and advice. She was control. The one you could rely on to be completely honest and explain to you the grey harshness of life. Someone who reminded you that it would get better. She was the first one to start the fun and the one there picking up the pieces, reminding others of control and temperance.
Forty before she was six Anya-Mari's existence has been lived for others. If you were to ask her who she was for herself, she wouldn't rightly know.
Personal History: AnnMarie Remy and Kenshin Nakamura met in 1995 through a mutual friend during a New Years Eve Party. The son of a very wealthy Japanese tycoon the night was just another party in his extensive social repertoire. For Annie it was a night of rest for a hard-working intern. The daughter of a Haitian immigrant and a poor Cuban-Dominican New Yorker, she wanted to make it big and she wanted to be very successful. Her specialty, surgery, was a very difficult one and she had no time for fooling around. Or so she thought. One would never be so jaded to call the meeting between Ken and Ann love at first sight. More like strong lust at first glance and mutual agreement by the third date. Ken's father was constantly pushing him to bring a proper girl-at the time ANY proper girl, she didn't have to be Japanese-home to marry. Annie was barely paying her loans. Ken was rich. Annie was beautiful. The two intelligent twenty-something year olds quickly came to an agreement: a marriage of arrangement. After a trial run of living together for a few years, they were married in 1998 and their first-born child was born two years later, right about the time Anne finished all of her education.
Anya-Mari Nakamura was born on March 13th, 2000 and by March 20th, 2000 her parents had her entire life mapped out for her. What schools she would go to, what activities she would do, what people she would talk to, even what dress she would where to her wedding was put on reserve. Her parents were the crème of the crop and they excelled in their respective fields, they would not expect less than the best from their children. Especially not from their first-born. Luckily Anya-Mari was everything they asked for and more. A straight A student who was artistically talented and acted like the proper little lady whenever they brought her out on display. And she was lovely and an original thinker who only stated opinions when they asked. They were absolutely thrilled. So, thrilled in fact they decided to try again and six years later that they decided to try again and Anya's little brother was born. This one was even better, he was quieter than Anya-Mari and seemed to have been born mature from the womb. They dressed him up in the best clothing, sent him to the best schools, and left him to his nanny.
It wasn't that the Nakamuras didn't love their children. Ken loved taking them places whenever he had to travel. Took them to Milan and Tokoyo and Brazil. Annie showed them things, practical things that Ken thought was silly to show wealthy children, things such as sewing and cooking. Things AnnMarie's own mother told her she needed to know to survive. The Nakamuras loved their children but it was quickly realized that it was best that they loved their children in short spurts of time. Some people simply weren't meant to be parents and nurturers. Usually that bred hard and selfish and cruel children, however, the Nakamura kids had each other to rely on. And while that wasn't the most stable of situations at all times it was good enough for them since they had each other.
That is how they spent their lives, for each other, even when their parents uprooted them from New York to random mid-west America Sundance, Wyoming. Even when they began socializing with different crowds of people. Ahn with the children of the wealthier residents and her brother with anyone who was a science geek. Even when their parents uprooted them again, this time to Houston, Texas; they dealt with it all with amazing aplomb because they had each other. Things only began to become difficult when the virus struck while Anya-Mari was off in England, for college. Stuck in quarantine in a camp just outside of Oxford she only learned information about her family because of her wealth. The illness had gotten her paternal grandparents, first of course. Then her father and then her mother. Then her maternal grandparents. Struck them all down one by one until they were all gone. She knew that her siblings were separated because her marsbars had stayed with their parents and her little dragon had been visiting with their maternal grandparents. Knowing her brother she knew that he would have never left their grandparents alone during the crisis.
It took Ahn six months to find a handful of individuals competent enough to run a steady enough boat from England to America. She wasn't dumb enough to take her chances with a plane. It took another three months to find her sister and sneak her out of the camp she had been in Georgia. Another month to make her way to New York to the camp where her brother should have been. It was absolutely deserted. Tired and frustrated, Anya-Mari did things she had to do to survive and keep her baby sister alive. Steal, cheat, lie, once almost coming close to using sex for shelter. Almost. It was in an almost deserted camp in Ohio did she hear rumors about Sundance from a half-crazed girl.
Weary, enough to place enough of her faith into the rumor she packed up what little she and Yuki had with the destination of Sundance in mind. When she reached Sundance ... it wasn't quite what she expected. Not that she had great expectations but the separation of tribes and territories came about seeming counter-productive to her. Nevertheless, she set about her mission in finding her best friends and her brother. Disappointed, but relatively content, in the fact that she has only completed half of what she has set out to do Ahn has settled well with the other Mountain Lions. They offer a security that she has desperately needed for both herself and Yuki. S he was both amused and completely unsurprised to discover that Tyler was the second in command of the tribe. And she has a lot of fun ruffling his feathers and telling him how pompous he looks every-single chance she can get.

What tribe do they belong to if any?: She belongs to the Mountain Lions
How long have they been with that tribe?: Recently, about three months
Personal Weaknesses: Sarcastic to the point of cold bitchiness at times, possessive, a bit of a door-mat, neatness can be obsessive, prone to moods, detached, superficial
Personal Skills and Training: Ballet since she was seven and the piano since she was five. She is strong in four languages, excluding English, and passable at three others. She is handy with a stove, a needle and thread, and at hand-washing. She has a low and smoky voice that is great for singing, mostly she does encores on Little Bo Peep and lullabies. Ballet and playing on the piano from such a young age has made her quick on her feet, quick with her hands, sharpened her view for details, and given her a great memory. Given the fact that she is naturally perceptive there isn't much that you can pass by Ahn; whether it is bull-shit or trying to steal a cookie when her back is turned.
Job that they have in the tribe or whatever they do to keep themselves alive if they're alone: Listener/Seamstress/Sweets-maker
PB: Zoe Saldana
Plot ties Plot tie 1: Ace's ex-girlfriend. One of the rare ones who DOESN'T want to kill him in his sleep Plot tie 2: Dealing with the entire tribe situation. She doesn't like it but she does feel a loyalty to Ace and Danni Plot tie 3: Finding. Finding herself. Finding her little dragon. It's a path that will be tied pretty strongly together. Her little brother was always mature for his age and he was the one person she could completely relax around.
What interested you in this RPG: I thought the idea was absolutely novel and something that might be fun for me to do. I have been looking for good OCs and this seemed that this might be one. I was tentative at first, until I saw the wanted page and I immediately got an idea for a new character. It got me thinking if my lazy muse could get sparked that quickly than this was definitely worth trying out.
